Post Sclerotherapy Treatment

1. Try to keep legs elevated when sitting. It is recommended to walk lightly, but no heavy exercise. 

2. Wear good support hose after treatment. Amount of time and pressure of hose is individualized and should be discussed prior to treatment.

    For light treatment: 10-15mm hg of pressure for 2-3 day. 

    For extensive treatment: 15-20mm hg of pressure for 3 weeks.

3. Expect that the treat veins may looks hive-like and raised for 24hrs and darker in color for several days to a week before beginning to fade.

4. Please email staff@cdermatology.com or call 303-788-1766 if the following occurs:

    a. Bleeding, pain, or swelling last over 24hrs.

    b. Sores developing at site of injections.

    c. Redness lasting longer then 36hrs. 

    e. Fever or chills.
