The Clear Solution Acne Package
What is Acne?
Acne begins as a clogged pore caused by keratin debris combining with oil. These can then form whiteheads or blackheads and eventually lead to scarring if not treated. Oil (sebum) production increases during puberty which P. acne bacteria can then feed on and further proliferate.
Package Overview
Our Clear Solution Acne Package includes three steps that uniquely target and fight acne.
Step 1: Broadband Light
Step 2: Salicylic Acid Peel
Step 3: Extractions (add-on procedure)
Step 1: Broadband Light
We can treat acne using the Broadband Light (BBL) used in our photorejuvination packages.
First, we use the blue light filter in order to kill the over-producing P. acne bacteria deep within your pores. We then use the red light filter to reduce the inflammation and redness associated with acne.
Step 2: Salicylic Acid Peel
After the light treatment we apply the Salicylic acid peel. This agent is a powerful keratolytic which helps unplug the clogged pores at the root on acne.
Step 3: Extractions
This is an add-on treatment that can help the skins process in healing post-acne. We use a gentle approach to further unclog the pores and expel the sebum, debris, and bacteria.
